Bahar Uttam serves on the Medicus Board of Directors and provides executive-level strategy and operational guidance on various corporate initiatives. Bahar is a long-time executive and business owner operating in the federal and defense sector. In 1984, he founded Synetics Corporation, a systems engineering and information technology firm. The company grew to $50 million with a staff of over 500 in 10 U.S. and two international locations. Inc. Magazine twice recognized the company as one of the 500 fastest growing companies in the US and in the top 10 in New England.
ACS, Inc., a Dallas-based NYSE corporation, acquired Synetics in 2002. Bahar helped the transition of Synetics into ACS for a year as a consultant to ACS. (Lockheed Martin subsequently acquired the Federal Division of ACS that acquired Synetics.) Prior to founding Synetics he was a Senior Vice President of Jaycor, a high technology San Diego-based corporation.
While serving as CEO of Synetics , Bahar was selected to the International Trade Hall of Fame, served on the Gubernatorial Commission on International Trade, and was a member of the Dean’s Council at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He has also been recognized for technical contribution in his field by being awarded the Kershner Award by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).
He was educated in the U.K. and the U.S., earning three degrees in Electrical Engineering.
Lewis has been with Medicus since 2006 establishing the Human Resources function and the blueprint for organizational development and design along with its culture development and identity. He continues to provide guidance on the growth of the business ensuring that the workforce is engaged, aligned and highly productive. His background includes 25+ years of diverse Human Resources and Operations assignments with both domestic and international responsibilities. He has been part of several leadership teams that have achieved impressive results from successful IPO’s, international expansion, and high growth.
He holds a BS in Psychology from Brooklyn College and an MS in Social Science from Hunter College in New York.
Matt has spent 15 years in various senior roles within the Healthcare and Staffing industries. Matt joined Medicus in 2006 to oversee the development of the Anesthesia practice as well as develop the corporate standard operating procedures, systems, and training environments. He oversaw the launch and development of four new Medicus practices from 2008-2010. As the Director of Operations he is responsible for all systems and IT, organizational process and standards as well as marketing oversight.
Prior to joining Medicus Matt served of Director of Business Development for PharmaPros, a technology solutions company specializing in clinical trial data and workflow management for Life Science companies. He launched the Life Science and Healthcare Practices for Darwin Partners, an IT solutions and consulting company focused on the delivery of infrastructure, systems and software projects for Fortune 500 clients.
He graduated from Colby College in Waterville, ME with a BA in International Studies and holds and MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
Grant has over 19 years of experience in the Healthcare and Information Technology Professional Services and Staffing Industries. He co-founded Medicus in January of 2004 and now provides oversight to the organizations sales strategy and service offerings. In 2010 Grant oversaw the development of Medicus Consulting Services and helped to build that division into a leading provider of physician workforce consulting services to hospital and outpatient centers across the United States.
Prior to co-founding Medicus Grant has served in business development and senior management positions for Venturi Partners, Darwin Partners, and Oxford Global Resources. He has managed operations in the United States and Europe.
Grant graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, MA with a BS Degree in Management and Marketing.
Cristina brings considerable experience from her roles in Finance and Operations. She brings 12 years of experience as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of GlobalWare Solutions where she was responsible for day to day operations for locations in the US and overseas. Cristina joined Medicus in 2008, leaving a consulting practice and faculty positions at Stonehill College and Merrimack College to re-enter the corporate environment. She serves as Chief Operating Officer for Medicus as well as sits on the Board of Directors. In her role, she influences the strategic direction and oversees the overall operations and financial matters of the company.
Cristina is an inactive CPA, holds her BA in Accounting from Merrimack College, her MBA in Finance from Bentley College and her Ph.D. in Finance from Walden University.
Joe has over 20 years of experience in the Healthcare and Information Technology Services Industries. He founded Medicus in January of 2004 on the principle that there had to be a better way to deliver consulting and staffing services to healthcare clients. His innovative approach to providing physician staffing and operational consulting services to hospitals and clinics has revolutionized the industry. Today Medicus provides these services to clients across the United States.
Prior to joining Medicus Joe was responsible for managing multiple divisions for Oxford Global Resources including the Eastern and Central Operations. In addition to sales and operational responsibilities he was instrumental in creating and launching new service lines of business within Information Technology and Healthcare.
Joe graduated from Boston College with a BS Degree in Finance and holds an MBA from the University of Texas.
